Mission, Aim and Value Statements

The Your Wardsville Core Group is working towards a Mission, Vision and Value Statement that will reflect the true meaning of what our village, Wardsville is. If you are interested in participating please contact us.

What does our organization aim to do?

The 3 Pivotal Elements of a Great Mission Statement

Village Identity

To establish a strong village identity we can use community events to connect our residents and keep our old traditions alive while making new ones.  We can attract new visitors by showing off what makes our village so unique, which can simultaneously build a strong sense of pride in our village and in our municipality of Southwest Middlesex. A proud community is more likely to be a happy and desirable place to live and work.

“The Southwest Middlesex Community Improvement Plan (CIP) will strategically support local businesses by funnelling investment into key areas that drive the local economy, while also assisting with the diversification, revitalization and beautification of the urban, hamlet, and rural areas of the Municipality to help maintain Southwest Middlesex as an inviting destination and a desirable place to live.

The village of Wardsville was settled on the lower section of the Deshkaan Ziibing (Thames) River in 1810.  We treasure our special location in the watershed of the Thames River and are proud to be neighbours of the original people of Turtle Island (North America).  We value the historical and contemporary contributions of our four neighbouring communities: the Lenape (Lunaapeew) People of the Delaware Nation at Moraviantown downriver and the Munsee-Delaware Nation upriver; the Deshkaan Ziibing Anishinaabeg (Chippewas of the Thames First Nation); and  the Oneida Nation of the Thames (Haudenosaunee ONYOTA’A:KA, the People of the Standing Stone).

The "Your Wardsville" virtual office and web site applications are a pilot project using  Google Workspace and Google sites. We are thankful to the Glencoe and District Historical Society for providing these valuable Google tools to the Your Wardsville community organization.
A big thank you to Creative-Communities for making this possible and for seeing the need in our community to organize our office workspaces.
