Celebrating Our Action Group: Proud Achievements in 2024!

Our action group has so much to be proud of, with  few members dedicated to making a difference in our community. Together, we have made significant strides in enhancing the quality of life in Wardsville. Here are some highlights of our achievements from 2024:

As we move forward into 2025, we are excited to continue our efforts and build on the foundation we’ve established. Together, let’s make this year even more vibrant and connected!

2024 Past Events – A Year of Community Spirit!

Wednesday Euchre: A fun and competitive evening enjoyed by our local community members.

Team Up to Clean Up: Volunteers came together to tidy up the village, ensuring Wardsville stays beautiful and welcoming.

Strawberry Social: Raised $700 for the Block Party! The community gathered for sweet treats and great conversations.

Block Party: A family-friendly event with delicious food, great music, and a highlight – kids enjoying the new accessible and inclusive playground! The Float for Hope celebration kicked off the opening of the playground.

Haunted Hollow Week: A spooky week filled with thrills and chills for all ages.

Stuff the Truck: Wardsville donated 880 lbs of non-perishable food to the ReGen Centre in Glencoe. This effort was in collaboration with Southwest Middlesex, the Wardsville Fire Department, and the RRCAC Cadets.

Witch Walk: A fun, quirky walk where participants embraced the spirit of Halloween!

Witch Dance: An event with more dancers than guests, but lots of laughs and fun on a chilly evening.

Halloween Party: A family-friendly gathering with costumes, games, and treats.

Pumpkin Parade: 35 pumpkins were creatively decorated for the annual Halloween tradition.

Holiday Week: A week-long celebration with events that brought the community together during the festive season.

Jingle and Mingle: A fun event for holiday cheer and community bonding.- A flop…Mr and Mrs Clause, we were all sad.

Deck the House Holiday Light Contest: Wardsville lit up with festive lights, and homes competed for the most dazzling displays.18 properties.

Caroling Bus: A magical evening of caroling as the community spread holiday cheer.Bus was full and lots of fun.

Silent Auction: Raised $2,195! $880 went to the Wardsville Museum, and $1,100 was donated to the MOSA Nutrition Program.
